Saratoga, Santa Cruz Mountains, California
Foxglove Hill Estate
A small organic Saratoga hillside devoted to vivid, age-worthy Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet.
The story
Where the wine comes from
Foxglove Hill is imagined as a small organic vineyard above Saratoga, on the inland side of the Santa Cruz Mountains where marine air meets warm afternoon sun.
Founder Evelyn Vale planted the hillside to Cabernet with the belief that careful farming and modest yields could express this overlooked mountain landscape.
The wines are fictional, small-lot and structured for the cellar — an example of the intimate estate story Host&Vine is designed to carry beyond wine country.
